According to the agreement between the labor unions of China and the Soviet Union, in early March 1956, the Soviet Union sent a coaching staff consisting of Kukinov and Zvezkin to Beijing in early March 1956. The All-China Federation of Trade Unions organized a team of more than 50 members selected from all industrial unions across the country to participate in mountaineering training. Among them were geology, surveying, mapping, geography, geomorphology, meteorology, hydrology, medical affairs, and military personnel stationed in high mountain areas. . The location of the training center was chosen to be carried out under the "Tibet Head Mountain" near the scenic spot of the "Badakou" in the western suburbs of Beijing. The Soviet coaches and the Chinese personnel who visited the Soviet Union in 1955 conducted lectures and counseling exercises respectively.
After systematic training, the trainees selected 35 players to form a mountaineering team named "All China National Federation of Trade Unions." This is the first mountaineering team in New China.
On April 25, 1956, 35 members of the team and two Soviet coaches successfully climbed the Taibai Mountain, the highest point of the Qinling Mountains in Shaanxi (3767 meters above sea level). Although this mountain peak is less than four kilometers above sea level, this mountaineering is the largest and most numerous mountaineering activity in China's history after the famous Tang poet Li Bai.
As soon as the event was over, 24 members were selected from the team to study in the mountains of the Soviet Caucasus. Of the 24 students who visited the Soviet Union, part of them went up in the Caucasus, and after participating in training, the other part took part in the activities of China and the Soviet Union to jointly climb the Muztagna Peak in 1956.
The year of 1956 when the Chinese mountaineering movement made progress in 1955 was also the second year of cooperation with the Soviet Union.
