Apple and Trivselhus collaborate to create HomeKit smart home eco community

On March 26th, according to foreign media reports, Apple and Swedish real estate developer Trivselhus reached a cooperation to create a HomeKit smart home ecosystem.

The SommarPlace community under construction in Milton Keynes, UK, will offer 56 modern homes and apartments. Unlike other homes, the SommarPlace community was built with Apple's HomeKit ecosystem.

When building the SommarPlace community, the 20-year-old property developer Trivselhus will equip each home with a complete set of smart home products that support HomeKit and the Apple devices they need to control them.

From smart lighting to voice-activated blinds and heating, as long as the homeowner gets the new home key, they can live in an already built smart home.

In addition to smart home devices, each owner will receive the latest iPad, iPod touch, cellular network version of AppleWatch and AppleTV, which can be used to control and customize their smart home experience.

Paul Armstrong, technical director of Trivselhus UK, said: "In the past few years, we have been working with Apple to help them build smart home showrooms just to see if this is all It's feasible – obviously, this is a new and good platform. As smart home devices flood the market, we will also begin to explore to ensure that smart homes can be deeply integrated with the home, allowing the home to have as many smart home devices as possible. ."

All of these smart home devices are centered on Apple's Home app, which is Apple's core controller for HomeKit devices. Users can find all the smart home devices in the home in the app and can be categorized according to the room in which they are located.

After pairing with the HomePod smart speaker, manipulate these devices by tapping, swiping, or voice commands. This can be a simple command, such as having the Siri voice assistant turn up the temperature of the smart radiator in the bedroom or turn on the lights in the living room.

In addition, users can manipulate multiple devices at once by creating “scenarios”. For example, use the "Siri, Good Morning" command to open the curtains, open the heated towel rail, turn on the HomePod speaker today's weather information and news, and even open the kettle.

As for the price, the price of a three-storey, four-bedroom, private small garden and parking lot is about 450,000 pounds (about 4.01 million yuan), of which the price of smart home equipment only accounts for 1% of the price.

Although this is the first time to focus on Apple's HomeKit product, Apple's main competitors are experimenting with similar programs across the country. For example, Samsung partnered with real estate developer Quintain to provide digital connectivity to the 3,000 apartments in the WembleyPark community.

Although this community is still very novel, more similar smart homes will be seen in the near future. Only Trivselhus plans to build 1,000 similar smart homes in the UK in the next three years.
