Sweden, Japan cooperate to launch commercial automated packaging technology

Sweden's Rotena Luz Foundation and Sumitomo Corporation of Japan have researched and developed a new product packaging technology that is ready for use in department stores and shopping malls. This new technology can speed up the sale of goods, shorten the time of each transaction by 30%, and can greatly reduce the salesperson's labor intensity.

This packaging technology can cut the plastic packaging according to the exact volume of the goods purchased by the customer, which can overcome the waste problem of traditional packaging. According to the study, the average volumetric capacity utilization rate of the average bag is only 65%.

The above automated packaging technology has been patented in 32 countries. The prototype of the phase difference device has been tested in Japan for one year, and will be used in Sweden, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
