Recently, the test results of Fuxiang Optical Fiber Spectrometer were published on the Proceedings of the American Academy of Sciences PNAS. In the work, the author used a micro-spectrometer to measure the reflectance spectrum of the tiny amorphous diamond sample, and obtained results consistent with the theoretical data.

Recently, Professor Zi Jian's research group of Fudan University and Professor Eli Yablonovitch of UC Berkeley in the United States have completed an important academic work. The results were published in the latest issue of the Proceedings of the American Academy of Sciences, entitled "Amorphous diamond-structured photonic crystal in the feather barbs of the scarlet macaw". This article shows for the first time the amorphous diamond photonic crystal (Photonic Crystal) with beautiful structure found in nature. At the same time, the author also discovered the unique spectral and optical characteristics of this amorphous diamond structure through experiments and theoretical calculations.

In the experiment, because the sample is very small, in order to obtain better spectral data of amorphous diamond slices, they used the iMicro microspectral detection system provided by Fuxiang, and a cooled area array back-illuminated spectrometer with extremely high sensitivity NOVA-EX.

Professor Eli Yablonovitch is an academician of the American Academy of Sciences and a world-renowned expert in the field of photonic crystals and surface plasmas. Because of his outstanding work in 1987, he first proposed the concept of photonic crystals. Academics called him the father of photonic crystals. Professor Zi Jian is a well-known expert in the field of photonic crystal research and one of the earliest scholars to carry out research work on photonic crystals.
