Bleeding:

Any image that exceeds the cutting line or enters the book slot. The bleeding must really exceed the pre-tensioned line so that a slight amount of registration inaccuracy is allowed during trimming or stapling.

- Full bleeding:

(Fullbleed) The portion of the printed image that extends beyond the four sides of the paper. Since almost no printer can print on the edges of the paper, all four sides must be trimmed.

-CIElab:

The device-independent color space usually describes colors in three variables (L, A, B).

-CMYK:

Cyan, magenta, yellow, black --- four printing colors. YMCK and KCMY are synonyms for CMYK. YMCK may be a spelling mistake due to people's habits, and KCMY may be a Nebrasks radio station. In printing, the sequence of the letters may also indicate the printing sequence of four-color printing. Therefore, KCMY often indicates that the ink is printed as black, cyan, magenta, and yellow.

- Client/server: (client/server)

A central control computer called a "server" is associated with a computing model associated with a dispersed computer called a "client." Clients can use the software on the server to perform specific tasks.

- Color gamut: (colorgamut)

All colors that can be processed by a color printer.

- Separation: (colorseparation)

The method of converting the original into a structural form compatible with the color printing process.

- Color space: (colorspace)

A three-dimensional or four-dimensional positioning coordinate system, each representing a color defined by a three (RGB) or four (CMYK) variable.

- Cutting lines: (cropmarks)

Printed around the paper to indicate the lines of the cut.

- Density: (density)

Reflection density refers to the ability of a surface to block light; transmission density refers to the ability of a filter to block light.

- Direct plate-making: (direct-to-plate)

The formatted digital page file is directly output from the host computer to the laser platemaking machine, eliminating the manufacture of negative film, also referred to as CTP (computer-to-plate).
