These papers are divided into two kinds of virgin paper and recycled paper; the quality of virgin paper is good, the paper fiber is longer, and the paper wool and paper dust generated during die cutting are less.

Recycled paper has short paper fibers, and it is easy to produce paper wool and paper dust during die cutting. In particular, the fluffing of recycled coated gold and silver cardboard is more serious, because the PVC film or PET film on the surface brings a certain difficulty to die cutting. However, in order to reduce costs, manufacturers promote the development of environmental protection of paper products, and use a large number of recycled paper. In this way, the problems of paper wool and paper dust can only be solved by molding.

Effect of Molding on Die Cutting Fuzz

Usually, we adopt traditional methods when molding products. When making die-cutting plates, choose according to the thickness of the paper. For example, when processing 0.3mm thick paper, the height of the die-cutting knife is 23.8mm, and the height of the indentation line is 23.8mm-0.3mm = 23.5mm. Although the method of selecting the height of the indentation line in this way is correct, it ignores the distance between the indentation lines on the product forming structure. For example, the distance between the indentation lines of a small cigarette case with a hard case and a flip cover is less than 20mm. Because the distance is too small, if the indentation and die cutting are performed at the same time, the indentation will cause the paper to pull and tear the paper before the printed paper is completely cut, resulting in the generation of paper wool. Therefore, to solve the paper wool problem, we must start from adjusting the distance between the indentation lines, so that the printed products reduce the indentation tension during die cutting or change the order of indentation and die cutting.

Die-cutting knives include straight knives and horizontal knives. Two different knives have different heights. The pattern formed by the blade is different from the height, which is directly related to the quality effect of die cutting of different types of paper products and the service life of the steel knife. In terms of avoiding paper wool, straight-edged knives are better than horizontal-edged knives; in terms of service life, short-edged knives are much better than high-edged knives. Therefore, we should choose different types of die cutters for different paper properties when making stamped plates. For example, when cutting a film-coated cardboard, a straight-grained high-blade knife is used, and the blade is required to be ground. When processing such products, it is best not to use the one-time molding process of indentation and convexity, mainly because the influence of indentation pressure and unevenness pressure on die cutting is too large to control. When processing ordinary cardboard, the short blade is used, and the blade's blade is determined according to the quality of the paper fiber. When die-cutting paper with poor or thick paper, a straight knife is used, and when the paper fiber is good, a cross knife is used, which can increase the service life of the knife.

After selecting the die cutter, configure the indentation line. There are many cigarette packs in many locations where the indentation lines are very close, such as the small packs of hard packs mentioned above. Therefore, when processing these positions, the height of the indentation line cannot be configured according to normal conditions. When molding, the tensile force on the paper should be minimized to achieve the desired effect. There are two methods: one is to reduce the height of the indentation line; the other is to reduce the thickness of the bottom mold strip. The two can not be used at the same time, otherwise it will not have a good indentation effect. The best way is to reduce the height of the indentation line, the reduced height is usually 0.1 ~ 0.2mm. According to the thickness of the paper, determine the specific reduction, the thickness of the paper above 350g / m2 decreases by 0.2mm, and the thickness of the paper below 350g / m2 decreases by 0.mm. At the same time, at a position where the distance of the indentation line is too small, a sponge rubber strip can be pasted to make it play a role of anti-pulling force, pressing the paper tightly and reducing the pulling force.
