In 2005, he undertook the “cross-linked conductive polymer materials and their applications in analytical chemistry”. For the first time, they introduced a flexible chain-linked bithiophene monomer into a conducting polymer, synthesized a flexible chain and a bifunctional thiophene monomer with a specific functional group, and prepared a three-dimensionally adjustable cavity molecule with a conducting polythiophene skeleton. The novel network-like conductive polymer of the structure imparts species selectivity directly to the bulk of the conductive polymer film through functional groups on the flexible chain. The pore structure in the cross-linked structure of the conductive polymer film can be controlled by adjusting the proportion of the polymer monomer and the length of the flexible chain, so as to achieve a selective response to the target species, in the field of analytical detection and separation enrichment. Widely used.

As one of the important characterization methods for conductive polymer materials, they also successfully developed the electrochemical in-situ film conductivity measuring instrument, which can simultaneously combine the electrochemical method with the conductive polymer film conductivity measurement in electrochemical signals. At the same time, the change of the conductivity of the membrane can be measured in real time, which is the first in China.
